Our children’s programmes combine martial arts training with important skills that can support a child’s development away from class.
Lessons are structured, positive and age-appropriate. Students are encouraged to listen, learn, work with others and take pride in their progress.
No previous martial arts experience is needed.
A Positive Introduction to Martial Arts
Grasshoppers provides younger children with a fun and engaging introduction to martial arts.
Lessons use age-appropriate exercises and activities to introduce basic martial arts skills while helping children develop:
Every child develops differently. Our instructors encourage children to participate, try their best and become more comfortable as their confidence grows.
The aim isn’t to rush children through their training. It’s to give them strong foundations and help them enjoy learning martial arts.
Confidence, Discipline and Wing Chun Kung Fu
Our Tigers programme introduces children to structured Wing Chun Kung Fu training while continuing to develop confidence, discipline, concentration and resilience.
Students develop their understanding of martial arts techniques and principles while following a clear syllabus with goals to work towards.
Training helps develop:
We encourage children to recognise their own improvement and understand that consistent effort brings results.
Start at the Beginning. Progress at Your Own Pace.
You don’t need previous martial arts experience to start Wing Chun.
Our adult classes welcome complete beginners alongside people who have trained in Wing Chun or other martial arts before.
You might want to learn practical self-defence, improve your fitness and coordination, challenge yourself mentally and physically, or simply find an enjoyable alternative to the gym.
Whatever your reason for starting, you’ll be taught progressively and given the opportunity to develop at a pace that suits you.
Wing Chun develops movement, timing, structure, coordination and practical self-defence principles rather than relying purely on physical strength.
That’s absolutely fine.
You don’t need to get fit before you start. You don’t need to know how to punch. You don’t need to be particularly flexible, and you certainly don’t need to know anything about Wing Chun.
That’s what we’re here to teach you.
All we ask is that you come along with an open mind and a willingness to learn.
Schools of Kung Fu Brighton offers Wing Chun Kung Fu classes for children and adults, from complete beginners through to those with previous martial arts experience.
Our programmes are divided by age so students receive the right level of tuition, support and challenge for their stage of development.
Whether you’re looking for martial arts classes for your child or you’re thinking about starting Wing Chun yourself, you’re welcome to come along and experience a class.
